Letterkenny Rovers made it two wins from two with an emphatic 7-0 victory over their local rivals Bonagee United at Leckview Park with Zach Gorman netting a hat-trick.
The home side were out of the blocks quickly with two goals inside the opening twenty minutes. Lee McMonagle with a neat finish on his debut to score against his former club while Gorman capitalised on a John Roulston error to double their advantage.
Gorman added a third just before half-time after good build up play to put the hosts in a commanding position at the break.
In the second half, Bonagee attempted to find a way back into the game but Aidan McLaughlin had a goal bound effort blocked by Caolan McConnell before Gorman struck an unstoppable free-kick into the top corner to complete his hat-trick.
Rovers made it 5-0 through Adrian Delap with twenty minutes remaining while further goals from Nathan Plumb and Gareth Doherty wrapped it up for a rampant Rovers who earned the local bragging rights with this win.
