Letterkenny Rovers A 3 - 1 Illistrin

Illistrin got of the the dream start when Amilea McLaughlin raced onto a long ball by Tayla Doherty. Rovers can thank Lily Gallagher for her double save from a penalty and the rebound as Illistrin pushed hard to extend the lead. Just before half time Caitlin McBrearty equalised after a great ball by Savanna Keys. Rovers came out strong in the second half with Scarlet Graham going close twice however Tayla Doherty saved well for Illistrin. Erin Rafferty block a good effort from Illistrin’s Eabha McKinney. Laila Devenney went close with a header following a corner. Mary Stan-Mako chases down a ball to pass to Caitlin McBreaty to take the lead for Rovers. As time was running out Savanna Keys got her goal after an evening of hard work.

Gweedore United B 4 - 1 Letterkenny Rovers B

The opening 15minutes was very tight and both teams were well matched. Gweedore opened the scoring with a well taken goal Riona Scanlon. Gweedore added two more goals just before half time with a goal from Muireann Doohan and Leah Kissane. Letterkenny came out fighting the second half. With Louise McGahey, Sophie O’Donnell and Alessia Perri coming close. Louise McGahey finished well from a Sophie O’Donnell through ball. Rovers pushed hard for a second and with just seconds left Leah Kissane got her second and Gweedore 4th. Another great team effort from Rovers. Learning and improving all the time. Well done

The U12 Letterkenny United team were very unlucky to not take the 3 points against Glen Rovers on Thursday. Hitting the woodwork 6 times in a tightly contested game.

Letterkenny Rovers played Swilly Rovers with Caitlin McBrearty scoring 4 gorals. Scarlett Graham also got on the scoresheet.
A great team effort from Rovers and a special mention to Cara McLaughlin and Zoe O’Donnell for some great defending.
