U14 Premier - Letterkenny Rovers 5 - 2 Mulroy Academy

A thrilling encounter in Leckview this morning as the U14s Premier played a must win game to keep their league chances alive. A win for Mulroy would have been enough for them to take the title. Great performances throughout the field and the perfect start for Rovers as a ball from Akai Alleyne found Colm Og Breathnach putting Rovers 1 up in the first minute.

There was no more scores in the first half as both teams continued to challenge each other creating chances but both keepers doing their jobs well.
The second half it was Colm Og that got Rovers second goal from a great ball from Adhamnan Gibson.
But it was not all done yet and Mulroy were given a lift when the ball found the back of Rovers net from an OG making it 2-1.
However Rovers pushed on and 24 mins in Thalji Al Daher got on the scoresheet and moments later it was a goal mouth scramble that Denzel Taku claimed making it 4-1.
Thalji Al Daher got his second in the final minutes. Mulroy were awarded a late penalty which was the last play of the game with Kai Corcorcan netting just our of reach of Nathan Duffy.

U14 SECOND DIVISION Illistrin Celtic 0 - 1 Letterkenny Utd

On a great evening for football yesterday, Letterkenny Utd secured a 1-0 victory over Illistrin Celtic, with Jack McLaughlin scoring the decisive goal.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, with both keepers making crucial saves to keep their teams in the game. Aron Dermody was outstanding for the Rovers, pulling off two excellent saves, while Jack McLaughlin and Thomas Muller came close to scoring for Letterkenny.

The second half continued in the same end-to-end fashion, with both teams showing great determination. It was Jack McLaughlin who broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, scoring after his initial shot was blocked by a defender, only to convert the rebound. The match ended 1-0, with the Letterkenny delivering an impressive team performance overall.
