U12 SECOND DIVISION Bonagee Tigers 3 - 1 Letterkenny United
(Not Pictured Ruairi Gardiner)
It wasn't to be the United teams day in Goose Green playing against an energetic and hungry Bonagee Side.
From the first whistle the team faced pressure and had to battle hard to intercept and then keep possession once once.
Bonagee broke the deadlock with a well finished goal, but Letterkenny came back hard and equalized from the quick reactions of Jack Robb after a Bonagee rebound, finding the back of the net.
But another good combination play seen Bonagee pull ahead again.
And it was a penalty to finish up the scoring for the day at 3 - 1.
The team played their best, but just couldn't contain Bonagee who were hungrier for the win and wanted it more.
Righan McElwaine picked up Man of the match for his strong performance covering many positions on the field and a special mention to Noah Wilkie and Theo Minnock without them the score line would have reflected very different.
The coaching team are very proud of what the team achieved this year as so should they, each and every player has improved in fitness, drive, determination and Footballing ability.
Our under 12 Girls B were on the opposite end of success yesterday, losing 0 - 3 to Drumbar.
These girls played their hearts out and were so unlucky not to score on a number of occasions.
A special mention for how the girls took the defeat and cheered each Drumbar player as they received theirs medals.
Win or lose very proud of yous.
