SFAI Under 14 Boys Ulster Final
Rovers started the game well and had the greater share of possession in the first 20 mins with Colm Og Bhreatnach going close to scoring an opener.
Clones then came into the game and their long balls caused problems for the Rovers defence. Rovers goalkeeper Reuben Carey deflected a Clones shot onto the cross bar, keeping it 0-0going into the break.
The second half was very tight for both teams. Clones went closest when a corner was cleared off the line. With neither side separable at the end of fultime the game entered extra time. Then the all important breakthrough. Asme Ayres winning the ball in midfield got it to Denzel Taku who rounded the keeper and his shot was cleared off the line, but Colm Og Bhreatnach was there to guide the ball home for Rovers and win them the Ulster title.
Best for Rovers was Martin Ward and Reuben Carey.
Well done to everyone involved, a great achievement.
